Basra, Iraq - August 01, 2019

Ability with Innovation (AWI), in consortium with Renaissance Heavy Industry (RHI), had secured a contract with ExxonMobil Iraq Limited (EMIL) for Major Tie-Ins DS7 Facilities project in West Qurna 1 (WQ1) Oil Field in Iraq. The project is scheduled to be implemented from 2019-2022.

AWI and RHI are executing the project as “One Team” leveraging the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) technology of one of the largest construction companies globally and AWI’s intimate local knowledge and value driven approach to construction. With local content as integral component of project delivery, the team plans to hire more than 90% of total workforce from immediate communities and to maximize local procurement.

The MTI DS7 Project involves construction activities in a brownfield environment comprising broadly of fabrication, assembly and installation of a complete main pipe rack system - modular and stick built sections. The scope of work includes civil, structural, piping, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical works that will allow the existing facilities to connect / integrate the following existing and planned projects.

The WQ1 oilfield is located in Southern Iraq, approximately 65 km northwest of Basra and 150 km northwest of Um Qasr Port. The field currently has three degassing stations (DS6, DS7 & DS8) with a total of 10 oil trains and gas separation trains. The oilfield is currently producing around 440,000 bdp with proven reserves of 8.6 billion barrels.

The awarding of such important project to AWI & RHI team is a recognition of the successful track record of both companies on safe and efficient delivery of EPC projects.

Basra, Iraq - July 01, 2019

ExxonMobil Iraq Ltd. (EMIL) contracted AWI to provide Managed Service Provider (MSP) services to support its IT operations in West Qurna 1. Signed in July 2019, the project includes the following:

  • Managed services (onsite support, service desk, operation readiness, account start up, etc.)
  • Network Services (Network Infrastructure, Network Security, etc.)
  • Area Operations Services (Cyber Security, Email and Skype, Mobile Devise Management, Software Distribution, etc.)
  • Service Operations (Asset Management, Terminal Server, Back-up and Storage, Facility Security, etc.)

Basra, Iraq - January 31, 2019

Last January of 2019, ExxonMobil and AWI signed a 5-year service agreement to handle Waste facility operational management of ExxonMobil’s Waste Management Facility such as the Hazardous Waste Storage Area and the DS7 Scrap Yard. AWI will be responsible for the:

  • Provision of emptying, cleaning, maintenance and Overall Management of Waste Receptacles and Signage
  • Management of Hazardous Waste Storage and Management Facilities and Scrap Yard
  • Operations of Waste Management Facility that contains Incinerator, Shredder and Food Composter

AWI will deploy both foreign nationals and local Basra nationals to help ExxonMobil with its Waste Management requirements. This contract will further strengthen AWI’s and ExxonMobil’s enduring partnership in West Qurna 1.
