Khaled Dahawy
Chairman of Audit and Risk Committee | Independent Board Member
Khaled Dahawy is an AWI independent board member as of January 20th, 2022 and serves as the Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee. He brings true expertise and a proven track record in accounting and auditing to the board. Mr. Dahawy is an executive partner at Mohamed Dahawy and Company and is a Professor of Accounting at The American University in Cairo. Prior to this role, Mr. Dahawy was the Head of the Audit Committee at the Egyptian Post Office. Mr. Dahawy has work experience of over thirty years, including a variety of auditor, manager, board, and executive positions. He served on the Board of Directors for the Egyptian Post Office from 2013-2014, and has been called on as a consultant to the United Nations Conference on Trade Development and to the World Bank. In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Dahawy has academic work experience of over 25 years, including professor, director, and chairman roles.
Graham Bland
Audit and Risk Committee Member | Independent Board Member
Graham is an experienced CXO [CEO, COO, Non-Executive Director] and Angel Investor with over 40 years’ experience in Consulting management in Natural Resources, Energy and Infrastructure sectors, leading global businesses, turnarounds, designing strategic acquisitions that build shareholder value and growing longstanding relationships with government, industry bodies and clients around the world. Graham is the Chief Developments Officer at Pegasus, a global aviation consultancy and has overseen major programmes at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Dublin International Airport [DAA] and Warsaw International Airport [STH]. As CEO of OCS, he grew the company with annual revenues increasing by over 30%. Graham refocussed the company towards a more consulting, technology-driven organisation through new joint-ventures and the association with various design, engineering and project management companies with highly skilled consultants, engineers professionals. Graham was Programme Director / Chief Developments Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports Company [ADAC] reporting to the CEO and Board of ADAC. He was responsible for the delivery of the company’s high value Assets, including all of the various Terminal Complexes. Graham holds a Master’s degree from Manchester University. He has a strong association with education particularly related to engineering and personnel development within industry. He is a keen supporter of industry development and supports several philanthropic organisations. He brings a large body of experience in various industrial markets and a proven track-record in core operations and general management to the board. Graham’s professional experience spans more than 40 years across many major engineering, procurement, and construction contracts. He has a proven track-record of growing profitable businesses and delivering complex mega-infrastructure and industrial projects safely, on time, within budget and to quality. Graham is the author of several publications on project management.
Gamal Fathy
Audit and Risk Committee Member | Independent Board Member
Gamal Fathy Mohamed Abdel-Fattah is an AWI independent board member as of January 20th, 2022 and serves as the member of the Audit and Risk Committee. He brings a close familiarity with the petroleum industry and a proven track record of excellence in HSE to the board. Mr. Abdel-Fattah is the CEO’s Assistant on HSE for Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). In this role, he directs all HSE leaders across the organization and oversees HSE activities and performance for all companies under the umbrella of EGPC. Prior to this role, Mr. Abdel-Fattah was the HSE General Manager for Rashid Petroleum Company. He has over 20 years of management experience and over 35 years of total work experience in the chemical and petroleum industries.
Ayman Elkousey
Audit and Risk Committee Member | Independent Board Member
Ayman Elkousey is a highly skilled business leader with more than 30 years of progressive professional experience in real estate development, investment management, asset management, project/program development and management. He has wide-ranging operational and executive leadership experience globally.
Mr. Elkousey brings to AWI board expertise on strategy development and implementation. He has extensive background on organizational structuring and reengineering, business development and contracting strategy, arbitration, and legal risk management.
Prior to joining the AWI Board, he served various C-level / executive positions for Ajlan Bros Investment, Orascom Investment Holdings, Qatari Diar, Dar Al ArKan, Emaar Egypt, Citadel Group, Tuner International, Kharafi Group, and Orascom.
Mr. Elkousey holds a master’s of since degree on civil Engineering from Ain Shams University and earned MBA units from University of Edinburgh Business School. For his bachelor’s degree, he graduated BE on Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University.
