AWI-KENTECH Team Won Systems Completions PMC2 Contract for ExxonMobil Iraq Limited

Basra, Iraq - February 24, 2020

 

Committed to bring in world class capability in Iraq, AWI and Kentech partnered for the PMC 2 Systems Completions project of ExxonMobil Iraq Limited. The AWI-Kentech team will perform start-up and commissioning services for all of ExxonMobil’s new or renovated facilities from 2020 to 2024. AWI serves as the principal subcontractor for the project.

 

The Systems Completion scope contemplates the entire life cycle of a project, from engineering through stable operations. It involves multi-discipline, multi-team, and multi-organization activity with multiple interfaces requiring careful management.

 

An integral component of the project is to facilitate knowledge transfer on various aspects of commissioning work to local technical team. To accommodate greater number of expatriate personnel, AWI has expanded its North Rumaila Camp to be able to lodge up to 500 individuals. It also upgraded the camp’s facilities including conference rooms, security systems, clinic, recreation rooms, gym and among others.

 

The projects to be commissioned for PMC 2 include produced water facilities, power distribution centers, free water knockout vessels, oil train separators and major tie-ins facilities.
