AWI Begins Construction of Center of Excellence in the Zubair, Basra, Iraq

Basra, Iraq - June 22, 2014

AWI announced today that they have acquired 22 thousand square meters of land in Zubair. Plans are underway to construct the “Center of Excellence” which will be comprised of state of the art, equipment maintenance, fabrication, coating, training and storage facilities. The Center of Excellence will provide support for AWI’s operations in the Zubair Oilfield and include accommodations, administration, and warehousing facilities.
