Front End Engineering and Design

AWI offers a full range Front End Engineering Design (FEED) services. Our inhouse engineering team and consultants offer a broad mix of skills and capabilities that can support FEED both for brownfield and greenfield developments for offshore and onshore drilling, oil and gas refinery, power generation, among other industries

AWI’s FEED projects enable clients to make sound investment decisions and execute projects with managed technical, cost and schedule risk. We are steadfast in delivering projects that are implementable and operable providing security of cost and schedule. Our wider capabilities across fabrication and operations enable us to design solutions that address constructability at outset.

We work closely with our clients to ensure alignment of their needs with our established FEED execution process. This allows us to provide high-quality bespoke engineering solutions that eliminates or reduce the need for change during the detailed design and implementation stages of a project.

We also provide evidence-based decision support, cost estimate refinement, detail project scheduling and quantitative risk profiling services. We determine functional requirements for equipment and systems and provide informed support in deriving contracting and bidding strategies.

Our multidiscipline engineering capability spans:

  • Cost and schedule estimation
  • Electrical engineering
  • Flow assurance and dynamic process simulation
  • Information management
  • Instrument engineering (control systems, field instruments, metering)
  • Long lead items verification and procurement support
  • Metallurgy and materials engineering
  • Pipeline engineering
  • Piping engineering (stress analysis and materials)
  • Piping layout design
  • Process and facilities engineering
  • Risk, safety, and environmental engineering
  • Rotating machinery engineering
  • Structural engineering
  • Subsea production engineering
